Location: Ivy Tech – Elkhart, Indiana

Description: This 70,000 square foot classroom building was all new construction and designed for a LEED silver certification. Included as a part of this project was the development of the student community center within this new facility. The scope included a new 225 ton air cooled high efficiency water chiller with two 92% efficient non-condensing gas fired boilers. Two central station air handling units feed approximately 85 variable air volume boxes located throughout the facility. A new direct digital temperature system handles all building instrumentation and controls. Outdoor air monitors receive signals from multiple CO2 sensors to maintain acceptable levels by outdoor air adjustment.
