Description: The Read Residence Center Renovation included renovation of the student room areas (floors 2 through 6) of the four wings of the building. New HVAC was provided in all student rooms, including new vertical fan coil units and new energy recovery units that delivered fresh air directly to the student rooms. New fire protection was installed for the complete building. New ADA student rooms were constructed on floors two through five. Exterior windows were replaced for all four 6-story student housing towers. Student area upgrades included new finishes and new closet/storage layouts in the student rooms, new central restrooms on each floor, new corridor and lounge finishes. A new card reader system and wireless routers were installed for all student rooms. A new elevator was installed also to provide access to the 6th floor.
